Almost Spring?

Here are a few recent photos of Icelandic Sheepdog Vinlands ABBA. She's virtually housebroken and recovering nicely. She runs and plays with her family. And barks. (Clicking on photos will enlarge them.)

I've been coaching this orchid for over three years. Finally some blossoms. Flowers only an orchid enthusiast could appreciate.

The calendar says spring but - - -

Aedwyn Darroll - Artist

I'm actually losing track of how many winter storms we've had over the last few days. Four, maybe five? Or more? It is on days like these recent ones that I most appreciate my artist friends and their works that bring back so very many happy memories of the past. I'm much too busy most of the time to dwell on the past normally. And perhaps that's a mistake.

Ted was born in South Africa in the late 1920s, lived in New York for much of his adult life, taught at Parsons School of Design, and retired to Marfa, Texas in 1997 where he passed. I have several Darrolls given to me by Ted before he moved. Below are his triptych, Diversity, and a nude study.

A break in the clouds over Lake Huron created a slash of sun strike on the water. Surprisingly beautiful.

Pot Pourri - Yard

Three major winter storms within the past week have kept us very busy. Here are some random shots of sunrises, snow, trees in snow and a few indoor flowers - to keep things in perspective. Clicking on photos will enlarge them.
