Flogu Skuggi
Flogu Skuggi, born in 1989, is an excellent example of a black and white Icelandic bred, born and registered in the FCI in Iceland. One must be careful when breeding black and whites, It is my opinion that two black and whites should not be bred together because the B-gene for black is dominant. Black and whites are mentioned frequently over the centuries in literature. When carefully bred with any of the tan shaded Icelandic Sheepdogs (cream, wheaten, fawn, yellow, gold, red-gold, red, dark red, etc.) statistically half of the offspring should be one of the tan shades, and half should be black and whites. That has also been my experience.
