Yes, but where did they go?
I've been trying to explain to Totty but she misses them!
My long lived Clivia puts on a show for me every few months. The photos don't show the true magnificent color nor can you smell the heady fragrance. Even when they are not in bloom, the strap-shaped leaves are very pretty.
You can see flower stalks from previous blooms on this plant. One stalk has seed pods but probably no seeds.
The seeds are interesting. It takes a seed many months, sometimes longer than a year, to develop. Unlike most plants, the seeds actually get nourishment from the mother-plant as long as the seed is attached and start to grow their own leaves and roots while still in the seed pod.
By the time the pod drops the baby plant already has a leg-up on life.
