With only a few days left in the year, Kit delivered her first litter of puppies. There were two females and one male; all are healthy and hungry. Although it's still very early the boy looks to me like he's going to look a lot like his AKC Champion dad Cola (below). Cola is owned by Barbara Beers and Veronica Dowling
Understandably Kit is being especially camera shy right now. Here are some older photos of her.
One of the girls is a tricolor (1), which means mostly black with a few tan highlights on the legs and face and also some white. She might look like her maternal grandma Kria (below). The new puppy is almost completely black so she will not have as much white as Kria did. (She is also like her maternal grandmother Kria genetically because she also carries one b-gene for chocolate-brown.)
The third pup, also a girl, was a big surprise. She is mostly white with what might turn out to be tan spots. I'm not sure where she got her unusual pattern although she does have Tappi (Kersins Tappi) way back on both sides of her family. That's quite a long ways back for those genes to persist.

1a. Tricolor dogs have three colors - specifically: - mostly black, with some tan and white.
1b. Three color dogs have three colors. Always there is some white but also they may have a shade of tan varying from deep red through several shades of tan to very light cream to almost white. They also have some black hairs which may be in the form of a mantle, or a mask, or a black muzzle, etc.
