Ulfberhta - the Icelandic Sheepdog

Today here at Vinlands Icelandics the Icelandics, and others with the exception of youngster Ulfberhta Kit - are exhausted and sleeping to recover from weekend guests. We had an amazing and wonderful weekend talking, eating, drinking, exploring, hanging paintings, walking on the beach, and talking some more. Clicking on photos enlarges them.

Jon & Tracy

Jon & Tracy and John, Tina, Warhol, and Frankie in spite of  the cold and wet came up for latter part of the weekend to hang the first painting of a new diptych titled Ten Thousand Petals - . Two ladders were necessary!

Over the last few weeks spring seed and flower orders have been arriving; I plant as soon as possible after arrival. My vegetable garden has doubled in size and the first early spring seeds are in the ground and some seedlings are even up. Hope springs eternal, eh? Cabbages, 3 kinds of garlic (planted last fall of course), green & yellow zucchini, green, yellow & purple beans, winter squash, kohlrabi, walking onions, broccoli, brussel sprouts, peas, potatoes, etc. Eggplants, peppers and tomatoes should arrive as plants near the end of the month. It has always amazed me how much food can be grown in relatively little space. One wonders why more don't take advantage of home grown food.
